Local SEO cost calculator

This local SEO cost calculator estimates profile work, service content and ongoing checks for your business locations. Adjust the services, content workload and planning rate to compare different budgets. AI Growth Systems treats service areas separately from physical offices and provides an estimate to discuss, not a confirmed price or ranking promise.

How is local SEO pricing worked out?

Local SEO pricing follows the number of real locations and the services you want found at each one. The calculator's example is 1 location, 5 services, lower competition and 1 new page a month at a $95 planning rate.

That comes to $1,966.50 to set up and $836.63 a month, both including a 15% contingency.

Set your scope

01Describe your local footprint

Count real staffed locations. Service areas are not extra offices or a reason to create ineligible business profiles.

Use 1 for a service-area business with one operating base.

Services that need distinct local positioning. Model: 0.8 setup hours per service per location.

Your assessment of local competition

An assumption, not a live market scan. Monthly work multiplier: 1, 1.25, or 1.6.

Discuss local SEO
Behind the numbers
  1. Confirm profile eligibility and consistent business details for 1 real location. Service areas are not additional offices.
  2. Plan 1 useful new or refreshed pages each month, with local evidence and distinct intent.
  3. Track qualified calls, forms, profile interactions, and local query performance. The competition setting is your assumption, not a market scan.

Questions about this tool

Common questions

How does the local SEO cost calculator work?

Setup uses 8 shared audit hours, plus 6 profile and listing hours and 0.8 hours per service for each location. In our model, monthly work per location is 3 hours plus 0.5 hours per service, multiplied by competition (1, 1.25 or 1.6). Add 2 hours for each new content page at that location; rates, tools and contingency are separate.

Should I count service areas as locations?

No. We count real staffed locations, not each area your business serves. A service-area business with one base counts as 1 location in the model. Extra profiles for places where you do not operate can break Google's guidelines, so use actual premises when setting the calculator's location input.

Does the calculator check my competitors?

No. Our calculator uses the competition level you select; it does not scan competitors or the local market. Choose the level based on what you see in Google Maps for your main service. Check that assumption before relying on it: it changes the modeled workload but does not verify competitive conditions.

Is the hourly rate your price?

No. The $95 rate is an editable planning example, rather than our approved local SEO price. Our service prices are on the pricing page. Every client starts with the $300 audit, then receives a written quote for the work. We agree the audit scope and price in writing before payment.

Does my city's competition level change my local SEO cost?

Yes. The competition level you select changes our model's monthly workload. It represents your assessment, not a live scan of your city or competitors. Check whether the assumption matches the searches you care about before using the estimate to justify a larger budget or a broader local SEO scope.

What results can I expect at my estimated budget?

Our calculator models work, without promising a Maps position or lead count. We recommend defining success through accurate profiles, useful content and qualified inquiries, then reviewing evidence over time. The estimate helps discuss a scope; it cannot establish in advance that spending a particular amount will produce a specific outcome.

Before you hire

Questions customers ask about Local SEO cost calculator

How much should local SEO cost for my business?

A useful budget reflects real locations, priority services, content needs and the work required. Our calculator models those inputs with editable rates so you can compare scenarios. The result is neither a market price nor a final AI Growth Systems quote; an actual proposal requires review of your business and scope.

How much does each extra location add?

Each real location adds modeled profile work, service mapping, monthly visibility work, content and tools. Our calculator uses your selected scope and rate to determine the amount. Service areas do not count as extra offices, so include actual locations and compare the resulting line items before deciding on a budget.

Is the local SEO estimate monthly or one-time?

Our calculator shows an initial setup estimate, a monthly allowance and setup plus 12 full months of recurring costs. These are separate planning views for comparing a budget. They do not create a contract or require a service term; any actual commitment needs its own agreed scope and commercial terms.

What work does the estimate include?

Our model covers a shared audit, business-profile information, service and location mapping, monthly visibility work and selected content. It also includes an editable tools allowance per location and contingency. Those are planning items; a proposal must define the actual deliverables and responsibilities before the estimate becomes a service commitment.

Why is my estimate different from other agencies' quotes?

Another agency may include different content, review handling, reporting, software or contract terms. We recommend comparing line items, real locations, ongoing responsibilities and exclusions. Our calculator is an illustration, so its total should not be expected to match a quote until the proposed work and commitment have been compared.

How can I lower my local SEO cost?

We recommend starting with priority services and verified problems, then phasing optional work. Accurate business information and approved content may reduce the effort required. Keep necessary profile accuracy, testing and useful local content in the scope, so a lower planning total does not remove work needed to address the actual problem.

How do I get a real local SEO proposal?

Use the estimate to ask us for a review of actual locations, priority services and current profiles. We confirm the work, reporting, software costs and terms in writing for an agreed proposal. Submitting an inquiry does not accept a service contract, and the optional audit remains a separate purchase.

Is local SEO worth the cost the calculator shows?

Compare the proposed cost with realistic customer margins and the local demand you can serve. Our calculator cannot predict a return, so we recommend a clear problem, reliable tracking and a scope you can sustain. Those details help assess whether the work is useful before making a wider spending commitment.
